Company Data files: My husband and I are both self employed, and file jointly. If we set up two company accounts, can we merge the info in quickbooks for joint filing?

There isn’t a way to merge two company data files into one company in QuickBooks Online. Each company is created as a separate file and can’t be merged. However, you can use the reports for joint filing outside of QuickBooks Online.

There is no limit to the number of company data files you can have in Desktop QB.

Think of Word and Letters. There is no limit to Letters.

QB is like Word = a program.

“Profile?” I think you mean, you have data in two different Company Data files. You have to search the web for a tool to combine data or transfer data, to make them match.
