First you need to disconnect the app.   And then click connect accounts on the banking screen and PayPal and use your username and password to reconnect.

connect accounts: Customer CC payments are not being deposited to the bank from QBO like they had been in the desktop version.The bank will not allow us to connect accounts.

When you convert to qbo, one of the steps is to move your desktop merchant services to the online version.  You need to contact merchant services to do this.  Click gear>acct settings>billing to get their number.
