LLC has nothing to do with it, you issue 1009-misc to sole proprietors, and partnerships, not to corporations

Give the vendor a form w-9, he fills it out and you file it, that form tells you his tax information and he states whether or not he is subject to back up […]

When you wrote those checks you use an account as the expense for the check, report on that account in the chart of accounts
