Can you rename other customer to be the same name as the invoice the payment was for?  IF you can then QB will merge the names.

correctly: Why is the bottom right portion of some windows in QB Premier 2014 inaccessible?

It looks like you have larger fonts selected.  Amazingly, QB won’t work properly (anymore) with this option.  Used to work fine.  Edit your display settings and change the font size to standard 100%.  Then restart QB and see if it works.
