The invoices that are created and marked as paid on the Invoices page is not directly connected to the Transactions page, which is why they are not showing as income on the report. We still need to manually record the payments and select the income category.

Transactions page: 1 of my income is marked at business, however, when I pull my income for 2018, it will not add it to the income. Example, I have 6 income transactions, only 5 show up?

Transactions page: Can I go back and reassign some expenses to a different category for 2018. Not sure how to do that. Any help is appreciated?

You can go to Expense Transactions page and manually change per transaction’s category for 2018 entries.

Here’s how:

  1. Click Expenses on the left side menu.
  2. Choose Expenses.
  3. Click Filter.
  4. Under Type, choose the expense transaction like Expense.

QuickBooks Self-Employed doesn’t automatically track paid invoices as Income. If the payment of the invoice was done through a connected bank in your QBSE account, then the transaction should be automatically downloaded or will be reflecting in your transaction’s page and you can simply tag that as Business Income.
