QB Issue Resolution:

It is by statute 1/10 of 1% on wages – which means GROSS wages. If QB has this wrong they need to fix it, although you can make the correction for the payroll item you added. It is not the first time that default tax treatment of payroll deductions has been wrong and unless you are using Full Service the application of correct taxation is up to you. It works out $1 for every $1000 of gross wage
