How do you send a product suggestion to QuickBooks Online?

Last reviewed 2026-08-27

The route for suggesting a change to QuickBooks Online is built into the product itself. It sits behind the Help icon in the upper right, and it sends your idea to Intuit, the company that develops QuickBooks Online. E-Tech is an independent data specialist, not Intuit, so anything sent that way reaches Intuit’s team rather than ours.

Sending a product suggestion from inside QuickBooks Online

The steps take a minute:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online and open your company.
  2. Select the Help icon, the question mark in the upper right.
  3. Look for the feedback option. Depending on the update, it appears as Send Feedback Online or simply Feedback.
  4. Choose Product Suggestion, or the closest equivalent.
  5. Describe the change you have in mind and send it.

Intuit renames menu entries from time to time. If the labels do not match what you see, pick the option that submits an idea for review, not the one that opens a help article or a support case.

Where does the feedback go?

A product suggestion goes to Intuit’s product team. Intuit reviews what arrives but does not act on every request, and it does not normally reply to an individual suggestion. Treat the form as your vote for a change rather than a ticket with an answer attached. There is no public commitment and no timeline.

The wording inside the product can read as though someone on the other end owes you a response. The form belongs to Intuit, and only Intuit decides what enters QuickBooks Online.

Is it feedback or a support request?

The two channels solve different problems. A suggestion fits when something works but you want it to work differently: a new report, a changed default, a step removed. Support fits when something is broken, an error blocks you, or the question concerns your account, billing, or subscription. Those matters go to Intuit’s own support desk, reached from the same Help menu or from Intuit’s website.

A product suggestion is also the wrong place for account details. Describe the workflow you want, not your company’s specifics.

If a feature you need is missing

Requests sent this way often involve bulk editing, notification options, or how checks print. Two habits make such a suggestion more useful. Describe the job rather than the button. One price change applied to many customers at once tells a product team more than a plea to restore an old screen. Mention how often the task comes up, since volume matters when requests are compared.

Check for a workaround while you wait. Some gaps have one that holds for years. Printing a check requires a check number, and entering a short reference in that field is the usual stand-in. The Apps menu inside the product lists add-ons as well, and one of those may already cover the gap.

Can E-Tech pass a suggestion along?

No, and it is worth saying so plainly. E-Tech is independent of Intuit. It does not build QuickBooks Online, does not sell it, and has no channel into Intuit’s product decisions. On QuickBooks Online our part extends no further than an Intuit Product Referrals affiliate arrangement. Our work is with data: conversions, repairs, and recovery on QuickBooks files. A suggestion about the product belongs with Intuit, through the route described above.
