QB Issue Resolution:
I would NOT use unit of measure at all
Your issue is to cut up a sheet into 50 pieces
set up the assembly item, list the inventory item for the sheet, in QTY enter 0.02
when you use build assemblies, for each sheet you cut up, you MUST build a qty of 50. Cut three sheets you build 150
Then you sell the assembly item.
Use a group item for the case qty, list the assembly item, the qty in the case and follow that with a discount item set to a flat rate to lower the total price to the case price.
If you do a lot of cutting up the sheets, different type/color sheets I mean, then using a price level list to set the per item price for a case will work too
