QB Issue Resolution:
Hi northsideneosho. I hope you mean voiding a check on closed period and you are using a desktop version of QuickBooks 2012 and later, voiding a check issued for Expenses will prompt you to create a General Journal Entry that reverses the financial effects for the current year. This is done not to affect the previous financial statement and ensure accuracy of current balances. The prompt though appears only when one time messages has not been disabled in the preferences. If the message does not appear, you may have to manually create the journals.
