QB Issue Resolution:
2014 will open 2012, BUT when it does that the file becomes unusable by the 2012 program opening it in 2014 changes the file format
2014 accountant will open 2012, but again it can not create a file that can be read in 2012, only one year back, 2013 in this case
if you can buy 2012 go for it
other wise I would suggest you look into teamviewer, gotomypc, logmein or other remote access program
QB is accounting for non accountants, Journal entries should be the exception when using QB, they often do not work as you think they should, and they never work for inventory. It is much better to use the forms on the home page the way QB is designed to be used. QB has a steep learning curve regarless of the PR you read.
