QB Issue Resolution:

In this case the usual thing to do is to set up a “wash” bank account (a pretend account) on your chart of accounts.

Then pay the tax as normal using that account.

Then create a credit card charge for the tax and use the wash account as the ‘expense’ account on the charge.

In the end the wash account will have a 0.00 balance (washed out) and you’ll see a charge for your taxes in your CC account register.
