QB Issue Resolution:
There are a lot of little tricks for this:
If the difference is exactly divisible by 9, you made a transposition error. 123.45 Vs 124.35 VS 132.54 as an example.
You go through and confirm each entry you have, and if you have more, than you should know why you have more. For example: I made 3 deposits in one date but they showed on the statement as one total = my count is higher by 2.
Look at the entry you made for Ending Balance.
Look for interest charges, deductions and increases, misc fees or inflows you didn’t enter or overlooked.
Look for a Returned item.
Look at the bottom right of the check image. At least in the US, that is the OCR printing for what the bank processed. I might Print 123.45 but if the bank processed it as 123.95, I will never be able to get to a difference of 0.
