QB Issue Resolution:

Sorry for the confusion, but you can enter the start date by doing the following:

  1. Click Employees
  2. Click the Name of the employee
  3. Click the Pencil next to Employment
  4. There is a field to enter the Hire Date on that page, click Done to save

If you do not have payroll turned on, then you can enter the hire date for the employee by following these steps:

  1. Click Employees
  2. Click the Name of the employee from the list then click the Edit button
  3. There is a field to enter the Hire Date on that pop-up, click Save
