General browser differences

Globally resetting Safari:

Go to the Safari menu and select Reset Safari.

Clearing cache in Safari:

Go to the Safari menu and select Empty Cache.

If you’re not seeing all of your drop-down menu items:

Your drop-down menu might look like the following where only a handful are shown but there are actually dozens of items:

Partial drop-down list

In actuality, there are many more items on the list pictured, but they’re not showing. To get them to show, you need to use the scroll mechanism to show the scroll bar. If you’re using a laptop, you need to use the track pad, and if you’re using a mouse, use the scroll wheel. When you do this, you’ll see the scroll bar at the right as normal.

Here’s how to change the default scroll behavior in Safari:

Go to the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
Choose General.
Click to select the option you want. If you want the scroll bars to automatically appear, select When scrolling.
